The Ersa Bandeau draws its conceptual foundation from the surface of Botticelli’s clamshell in his masterpiece, The Birth of Venus. Each rise and dip of the surface texture is recreated using carefully placed strips of fabric that have been draped onto the top by hand. This architectural design emphasizes the dialogue between movement and stillness, within the clamshell, evoking the simultaneous containment and liberation present in Venus’s narrative. Becoming a tactile exploration, Ersa celebrates the enduring interplay between art, nature, and the body.
