The Kyma top, as part of the Kyma set, draws life from the hair of Venus in Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. The scalloped neckline chips off a piece of Venus’s clamshell, decorated with subtle, rust-coloured zari embroidery, the motifs of which are derived from the way her locks of hair have been detailed within the painting. 
 
Boned from the inside, with a corset-like structuring, we add a delicate juxtaposition to the otherwise delicate fabric used. The top’s nuanced double-toned fabric comes alive with movement, its hues shifting and deepening as the light around it changes, much like the interplay of sunlight on rippling waves.
