Ostrac, named after the ancient Greek term for "shell," embodies an homage to the metaphoric place of birth, described in our Basra Tapestry. Ostrac’s surface is adorned with meticulously hand-embroidered pearl and glass bead detailing, evocative of the organic textures and patterns of shells.
The halter neckline, elegantly folded, pairs with deep armholes, creating an architectural silhouette. Designed on the bias, Ostrac achieves an effortless drape, allowing it to fluidly contour the wearer’s form. In our anniversary variant, Ostrac comes in a flaming orange, metaphoric for being draped in the hair of Venus. Amidst the embroidered shells sit two tigers, both facing each other - inspired by a conversation about animal instinct and the line between giving in and evolution.
