Anemos Corset Lehenga Set
Named after the God of wind, seen blowing Venus ashore in Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, Anemos reimagines what the painting and its settings moments after unfreezing the current frame - with embroidered motifs and textures entangling Venus’s hair, with the illustration of the wind. The base patterns are complemented by an array of hand-embroidered pearls and french knots that emphasise and articulate the flow of each fluid strand.
The corset features a waved and scalloped hem, the shape of which accentuates the shape of the female form and the hips in particular, going back to the conversation of purity, place of birth, and the metaphors these have within the clamshell. The back features a lace-up panel, allowing the wearer to adjust the fit to the desired style.
The corset comes with the Plakaki Skirt, which features a hand-woven cotton base made to be an Indian-woven alternative to tweed fabrics. Near the hem of Plakaki is an asymmetric panel, made out of strips of metallic handwoven silk woven together.
The set is made to measurement. Our team will reach out to you regarding this process once the order has been placed.
