Hoover Jacket
Named after Hever Castle, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, the Hever Jacket draws inspiration from the ornamental detailing found across its ceilings and fountains. Constructed in viscose velvet and lined in modal satin, the jacket serves as a canvas for extensive hand embroidery developed from these architectural motifs.
The surface is embellished using metal and glass beads, bullion wire, and traditional Indian zardosi techniques, creating a richly textured composition that references both Tudor ornamentation and South Asian craftsmanship. The cropped silhouette is balanced by softly structured sleeves, allowing the embroidery to remain the focal point of the garment.
