Ancient Greek for “un-concealement”.

Alethea explores the idea of nudity as  a symbol of honesty, and vulnerability, through our lace laminating technique, where we trap lace in between two layers of transparent fabrics, to give to you a cloud-like mirage of a texture. In Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus, she steps ashore with only her hair for cover. That made us ask what it actually means to be nude, or naked, and what changes when something is half-hidden. 

Alethea is a strapless, floor-length dress with a fitted bodice and a long, flowing train. The chiffon falls loose from the bodice and gathers into the train, light enough to move with whoever is wearing it. The dress is floor length with a train. If you’d like it longer, get in touch about customisations.
