Grammé, named after the Ancient Greek word for “line,”. The pallu combines two types of lace that are layered and embroidered with pearls, creating an intricate, cage-like structure across the body. The pleats are made in a fluid satin that falls freely around the body, allowing for ease of movement and a sleeker, more effortless silhouette.

Gramme explores the idea of the female form within a cage. The colour and transparency of the lace plays with the idea of nudity, while the defined lines of the embroidery suggest the restrictions placed around it. Through this, we ask the wearer to question the relationship that purity, and the female body have with one another.
