Ancient Greek for “cave” or “cavern.” 

Antron imagines the moments after Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus, when the flowers carried towards Venus finally settle upon her. Made from handwoven cotton designed to resemble tweed, the sheath silhouette features a muted steel base interwoven with multicoloured threads. Across the dress, pearl and wire flowers are built and attached entirely by hand using a technique developed in-house, following the contours of the female form. 

Their layered textures take inspiration from the grottoes of Florence — ornamental garden caves where stone, shells and sculptural details come together to create fantastical landscapes. A skirt slit allows ease of movement, while modal satin lining adds a smooth layer beneath the textured outer fabric.
